Chantecaille Cheek Gelee Blush and Radiance Gel Bronzer

Chantecaille Cheek Gelee Blush and Radiance Gel Bronzer

I’ve been eyeing off Chantecaille products for some time and I decided to go ahead and take the plunge and purchase the cheek gelee blush and the radiance gel bronzer from Mecca store in Melbourne Myer.

These products aim to;
“The weightless and ultra-moisturizing formula blends easily, adding a touch of sun to any complexion without the look of makeup. A new polymer provides extraordinary smoothness, natural finish, and luminosity for up to 12 hours. The weightless formula can be worn under or over Ultra Sun Protection or your favourite Chantecaille foundation”

Both products come in a tube and are of a gel consistency.
The Chantecaille cheek gelee range comes in 2 shades;

Lively - a fresh peach shade              Happy - a soft rose petal pink
“A hydrating liquid gel-cream blush that combines the freshness of an emulsion with the lasting power of a stain”

I decided to go with the shade ‘Happy’ out of the 2 shades available.
The product is of a nice gel consistency though I did feel the colour was a bit intense, the colour does come out nicely once blended out and I’m loving how I am able to make it as sheer or bright as I want by the amount applied. A small amount of product goes a long way with this and it is buildable if you’re looking to add a more intense colour but still giving the natural dewy look.

Radiance gel bronzer comes in a universally flattering shade
“This liquid gel hybrid bronzer will enhance any tan, giving skin a radiant aprés beach glow”

Similar to the cheek gelee blush, the radiance gel bronzer in-colour was abit off (more orange) at first for my skin type but with blending out and the warmth of my skin, the product blended out nicely. Though for some reason texture wise, the bronzer was more in a liquid form then gel.
I found it harder to blend out compared to the blush because the product would dry-out quicker in spots and pigment the skin. Prepping the skin made a huge difference for me (moisturiser & primer) and actually made my skin look beautifully sun-kissed.

As mentioned, initially I thought both shades were fairly intense in-colour and somewhat pigmented but overall both products gave a nice glowly natural look as mentioned. For both products I felt there wasn’t much in lasting power along, on the days full make-up I would say I got roughly 8 hrs wear with touch ups but with light layers of make-up I think I would have gotten maybe 3 – 4 hrs with no touch ups and barely any visibility of product on face.

Both products provided;
Blend out fairly sheer in-colour
Very lightweight and blendable
A touch of shimmer (barely noticeable)
Overall drewy / natural finish

Overall, I definitely rate the product. The gel texture definitely makes the product and the natural finish. I can definitely be seeing myself using this product as a day-to-day for a light make-up look.
