Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum
With all my travels lately, my skin has been in dire need of a boost of hydration. I grabbed this on my way back into New York via duty-free and I thought I’d share my thoughts on the Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum.
I haven’t ventured much into Chanel skincare range compared to their makeup range but going through the Chanel’s Hydra Beauty I definitely want to try out a few more products because right now I’m battling patches of dryness around the face.
Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum claims that's;
This water-light serum delivers a revolutionary infusion of hydration: 24 hours of continuous moisturizing benefits, leaving skin deeply replenished, smooth and glowing with youth
Patented micro-droplet technology protects the purity of ultra-moisturizing Camellia Alba OFA*** until the very moment of application. Upon release, Camellia Alba OFA, a highly concentrated form of Camellia Oil Extract, provides replenishment and an intense plumping effect. Camellia Alba PFA**** works to maintain skin's optimal moisture levels while the powerful anti-oxidant Blue Ginger PFA helps to protect and reinforce skin's natural defense system.
Packaging wise – I absolutely love it! Chanel packaging is always slick and simple and of course smelling of their signature scent on their products. Can’t fault Chanel with their packaging at all!! The Hydra Beauty Micro Serum is a basic product in pump with lid.
Oddly I’m extremely satisfied with this particular packaging because I can see the product inside the pump as the packaging is clear compared to their other products where packaging is a solid colour outside and you can’t see where you’re at with the product.
The product itself is a very lightweight gel texture like, which equally makes the product easy to apply onto the skin. I found I needed to air the skin briefly before applying moisturizer next (mostly because I’ve just washed my face and applied toner & essences and my face is still fairly wet), because I felt when I was applying moisturizer immediately, I felt like I was just applying it to the ‘wet surface of the skin’ the moisturizer was just sitting on the surface instead of being absorbed into the skin.
So overall, I do like this Chanel serum. It’s definitely a hydrating product. I started seeing the difference in my skin when I was using it twice a day for about 2 weeks and that’s with a full pump per a use. Like any other Chanel products, it is strong scent but it does fade once applied onto the skin.
